- Rectangular with finished edges. A pink line borders the piece, with an inner decorative border. The top 2 lines of the text is of the alphabet, with a row of cross-stitching just below, followed by a line of numbers 1-0; the inscriptions are sandwiched between a Greek Key design and 2 other decorative designs. Narrative: The sampler belonged to the donor's mother or aunt. It was placed in the kitchenon a cupboard near a large brass scale. Donor found it when she returned to her house after liberation; her house had been vandalized and the sampler had been thrown in with garbage.
