- Notes
- Sewn illustration in silver and gold thread with traditional Sephardic designs of vines in each corner, with two birds, two trees, and text in the middle. Narrative: The text reads "L'menuchat habachur ha'aluv Chai Shemana niftar 25 Kislev 5685" meaning "To the eternal rest of the poor man Chai Shemana who died on the 25th day of Kislev, 5685 (December 6, 1927)". It is interesting to note that the 25th of Kislev is the first day of Chanukah.
