1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto in handwriting of Weinberger family, first Mancika Mandula. Below, between handdrawn lines and in block capital letters is the handwriting of Evike Weinberger. At bottom is Kalman's handwriting that continues onto verso. Verso, bottom half contains Ilona's handwriting, and one sentence at the bottom in Kalman's hand. At right, addressed in Mancika's hand to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz." in Maroshéviz, Maros-Torda county. At top right in blue ink, signature of Sergeant Bigany. Card contains correspondence between the Weinberger family and Gustav Weinberger, contains family updates and well-wishes. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The letter is in the handwriting of the Weinberger family addressed to Gustav. Kalman (1880-1944), Mancika (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger -- Ilona (1881-1944) and Evike Weinberger (1938-1944). All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The correspondence was under supervision by Sergeant Bigany. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine.
