1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto and verso in handwriting of Kalman Weinberger, dated at bottom left "944.IV/21". At right, addressed to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz. / Bihar / Biharmegye". At top right, signature of Captain Soós. Card contains correspondence between Kalman Weinberger and Gustav Weinberger, contains well-wishes and updates on the family's impending forced relocation from Vaja. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The letter is in the handwriting of Ilona (1881-1944) and Mancika Mandula Weinberger (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger. All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The correspondence was under supervision by Captain Soós. This is the first letter sent to Gustav Weinberger at his new address in Bihar. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family.
