- 1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto, three lines in handwriting of Mancika Mandula Weinberger, signed "Manci" at right. Below, handwriting of Ilona Weinberger and Pali Weinberger, continues onto verso. Verso, below Pali's writing is one line in the handwriting of Madi. At right, addressed in Mancika's handwriting to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz. / Bihar / Biharmegye". At top right, illegible signature of controller in red colour pencil. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. Correspondance between Weinberger family and Gustav Weinberger confirming that they arrived safely in Kisvárda. The letter is in the handwriting of Kalman (1880-1944), Ilona (1881-1944), Pali (1901-1944) and Mancika Mandula Weinberger (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger. All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The correspondence was under supervision by a controller. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family.
