- Notes
- B&W. Group portrait of three women. They stand in front of trees which appear to be a studio background. Two young women in long-sleeved dark dresses with dark hair flank an older woman in a light-coloured calf-length pleated dress with dark detailing. They share a family resemblance. The woman on the left has her arm on the middle woman's shoulder, and the middle woman has her hand on the shoulder of the woman on the right. Narrative: The donors parents were Meilach Magid and Yocheved Bejlach, both teachers. They came to Canada in 1921, returned to Poland, and then settled in Canada in 1924. Meilach graduated from McGill in 1929. He was the principal of United Talmud Torah School and later founded Herzliah High School in 1946.
