October 1992 Program: Shalom Ottawa opens a brand new season with a Rosh Hashana program. Marion visits Lapoints Fish Market where Barry Shulman makes gefilte fish from pike, pickeral and carp. Ed Fine interviews Dr. Maureen Malot, president of the Ottawa Jewish Council who speaks about the year in review and upcoming plans for 1993. Next, the Israella Singers sing selections for Slichot and Rabbi Arnold Fine explains the meaning of slichot prayers in preparation for Rosh Hoshana.
November 1992 Program: Ed Fine and Marion Silver broadcast live from the Byward Market; the centre of Jewish life for many years. Ed Fine interviews Irving Rivers about the changes in the market over the years. He recalls that the Talmad Torah was on George Street, where the Salvation Army building now stands. Joel Diener of Saslove's Meats is also interviewed about life in the market. He has fond memories of buying meat at the Greeley Sale Barn. Rabbi Saul Aaronov and Esther Bilsky speak about early religious life in Ottawa. Esther recalled Reverend Mirsky performing ritual slaughters in the backyard. He was brought to Ottawa by Rev. Bilsky. Next, Sam Zunder from Zunder's Fruit Land is interviewed. Gallery owner Lynda Greenberg discusses artwork on display at her gallery located in the Byward market.
December 1992 Program: Marion Silver interviews Mayor Jackie Holzman who reflects on her first year in office. She explains that she wants to get her house in order. Ed Fine interviews 12 year old Jory Steinberg who performs in Les Miserables. Marion Silver visits children at the Jewish Community Centre where they are making chocolate Hanukah gelt.
January 1993 Program: Ed Fine visits the Ottawa Jewish Artists Guild show during Arts Alive called "Genesis". Artists Murry Pinchuk, Barbara Nathan Marcus, Violetta Borosonik, Avril Bright, Kenneth Vincent and Dora Litwack. Marion interviews Michael Strassberg about youth programs in Israel. Rubin Lightstone and Margorie Sarazen perform ballroom dancing at Hillel Lodge for residents. They tell Ed Fine that they hope to motivate others to start dancing.
February 1993 Program: Shalom Ottawa visits Maimonades shool for Tu B'Shevat sedar and enjoy eating fruits from Israel. Rabbi Mordechai Berger and Devorah Teitolbaum are interviewed. Next, Scout master Howie Osterer and various boy scouts from the 39th Scout Troup are seen organizing donations for the Ottawa Food Bank. Steve Harper and Dick Hudson are interviewed. Guest host Phyllis Elowitz interviews Sarah Poster-Levin about the services and endeavors of Na'amat to improve the lives and opportunities of women in Israel. Phil Kretzmar and the Ottawa Israeli Folk Dancers were taped last summer performing in Vincent Park.
March 1993 Program: Marion Silver speaks to Gloria Mound about the history of Jews in Majorca and the Bali Eric Islands. Michael Tapeiro and Gaby Sassoon representing the Ottawa Sephardic community and the Ottawa Turkinsh community speak to Ed about a photographic exhibit of 500 years of Jewish Life in Turkey. Next, a fashion show of Caftans from Montreal at the Jewish Community Centre is presented by Marion.
April 1993 Program: A special edition of The Holocaust as History.
The Yom Ha' Shoa memorial service and candle lighting ceremony. Dr. Guita Tyrangel-Ben Ezra speaks about the Holocaust. "What Do We Tell Our Children About The Holocaust?" Ed Fine presents a studio panel of Mendel Good, Vera Gera and Sunny Tavel. Three participants of the March of the Living: Jason Shinder, Debbie Stone and Laurie Schildkraut speak about this moving experience.

Hagit Hadaya tours the new Machzikei Hadas synagogue which won the 1992 Heritage award for Synagogue architecture. Rabbi Reuven Bulka speaks about the intimate feeling created by the the design of the sanctuary. Paul Bregman and Ted Tromanhauser of FOIL (Forging Ottawa Israeli Links) speak about the goals of building business ties between industry in Ottawa and Israel. Harrison Richary and Micheal Fine provide a "Kids Eye View" at a Hillel Academy Passover Sedar.
