- Notes
- Summer residence of Mark Workman of Montreal (d Nov 1936). Mr Workman bought the waterfront property, located 2 1/2 miles west of downtown Brockville, ca Dec 1923 from Lorne Ogilvie of Montreal, who had the house built to plans by Hutchison & Wood, of Montreal, in 1905. According to the 19 June, 1924 Montreal Gazette, "Mr and Mrs Mark Workman, and the Misses Workman, Sherbrooke street west, will occupy their new summer home at Brockville, Ont, early in July". In the mid 1940s, Mark Workman's son, Edward, sold Glenora Park to Rochester, NY, hotel executive John Clarence Udd. A 2012 photo of the house can be seen by searching: "the udd estate".
