- Flying Officer Arthur Goldman of St. Louis, Missouri, was for official purposes presumed dead on July 24, 1944, when his aircraft, of which he was the sole occupant, collided into a target being towed by another aircraft off the coast of England. He enlisted in the air force at Windsor on December 12, 1942.
