- Lieutenant Theodore Herman of Toronto, Ontario, was officially reported killed in action on April 13, 1945. Lieutenant Herman joined the Canadian Armored Corps by understating his age. He later attended special courses in intelligence and field security at Royal Military College. He volunteered for transfer to an infantry unit and was posted to the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. He went overseas in 1943. There is a Star of David on his tombstone (Source: Veterans Affairs Canada)
