- Flight Sergeant Rudolf Zeidel of Montreal, Quebec, who was officially reported missing after air operations on June 12, 1943, was subsequently presumed dead for official purposes. Flight Sergeant Zeidel received his navigator’s wings in the autumn of 1942 at No. 9 Air Observers School at St. Johns, Quebec.
