- OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, November 21, 1944 Mrs. Lena Aranoff Succumbs in City Many friends will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Lena Aranoff of 391 Main Street, widow of David Aranoff, which occurred in this city on Monday at noon. Mrs. Aranoff was born in Russia and resided in this city for 43 years. She was widely known and highly respected. She was a member of several Hebrew societies and in early life was an active member of them. Surviving are three sons, Saul, Harry and Louis, all of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Carter and Mrs. Saul Strauss, both of Montreal, and three grandchildren. The body is resting at Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 113 King Street East, from where funeral will be held today (Tuesday) at 2:30 o’clock. Internment will be in the Hebrew plot in Fernhill Cemetery. Telegraph Journal November 21, 1944 Aranoff—in this city on Nov. 20, 1944, Lena Aranoff of 591 Main Street, widow of David Aranoff, survived by three sons, two sisters and three grandchildren. Body resting at Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 145 King Street East, from where the funeral will be held today (Tuesday) at 2:30 o’clock. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery.
