- OBITUARIES: Saint John Telegraph Journal, September 19, 2002 The death of Ms. Frances Babineau of Saint John, N.B., occurred on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Carbray) Babineau. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family. For many years, Frances had worked as a dog groomer in Saint John. She is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Frances was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, Walter, William, and Joseph, and two sisters, Marie and Gertrude. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2002 at 2 p.m. from Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B., (506-) 634-7424. Interment will take place at Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
