- OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, May 15, 1945, Page 8 The largely attended funeral of Max Baig, well known metal merchant of Amherst, N.S., who died at Pugwash, N.S., on Thursday of last week, was held on Sunday morning at 11:30 o’clock from Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, King Street East. The service was conducted by Rabbi N. Borerstein, assisted by Flt. Lf. A. Babb of the chaplancy service of M.D.7. Mr. Baig at one time resided at Saint John, but removed to Amherst about 20 years ago. He was a highly respected citizen of both Saint John and Amherst. Friends acted as pallbearers. Interment was at the Hebrew lot in Fernhill cemetery. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.130. Additional notes: metal merchant
