- OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, March 25, 1996 Blitz – At the Gagetown Nursing Home on March 24, 1996, Tauba Blitz, formerly of Saint John. Born in Switzerland, she was the daughter of the late Rose (Wisotsky) and the late Samuel Blitz. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by nieces, Shirley Segal, Rosalie Savitt and nephews, Dr. Don Boyaner, Max Blitz and Joseph Morrison, several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Borris, David and Joseph, her sister Esther and niece, Gertrude Blitz. Resting at the 'Hillsley' Funeral Home, 91 Leinster Street (634-1700). The funeral service will be held from the 'Hillsley' Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 26, 1996 at 2 p.m. Interment in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.396.
