Nathan Holtzman Passes Suddenly
A wide circle of friends will learn with regret of the sudden death yesterday in Saint John Regional Hospital of Nathan Holtzman of 182 Prince Edward Street.
Mr. Holtzman was born in Poland, son of the late Harry and Rachel Holtzman of Poland but has been a resident of Saint John for more than 45 years. He was well known and highly esteemed. Of a jovial nature, he will be missed by a great many friends. He was one of he oldest members of the Shaarei Zedek Congregation and was active in all work connected to the synagogue.
Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nathan Liphshetz, Fredericton; Miss Ethel of New York, and Miss Ada at home; four sons, Abe and Jack of New York City and Harry and Morris of Saint John and also four grandchildren.
The body is resting at Chamberlain’s Funeral Home, 145 King Street East from where the funeral will be held on Sunday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment will be made in the Hebrew lot in Fernhill Cemetery.
