- OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, March 2, 1995 LEVINE – At the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 1, 1995, Lily Levine of Loch Lomond Villa, widow of Isaac Levine. Born in Quebec City, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Bessie (Sugarman) Silverman. Mrs. Levine was the proprietress of the Dominion Food Shop on Union Street for many years. She was former Vice President of Henrietta Szold Chapter of the Canadian Hadassah WIZO. She was a member of the Congregation Shaarei Zedek. She is survived by one son, Ronald G. Levine and his wife, Sandra, Saint John West, one sister, Gertrude Turkel, New York, New York, three grandchildren, Candace, Tamara, and Darren Levine. Resting at the Castle Funeral Home, Hillsley, 91 Leinster Street, from where the funeral will be held from Hillsley Chapel on Friday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Hadassah WIZO by calling 648-9568 or to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family. Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.422.
