- Mordecai Ginzburg (1894-1966) was born in Slonim, Poland on October 15, 1894. He received a Jewish and secular education. At the age of fifteen Ginzburg entered the teachers seminary where he studied for four years.
He started his literary activities with writing poems in Russian. After World War I he went to Lodz, where he wrote poetry and in 1919 he published a book of collection of Jewish poetry.
In 1924 Ginzburg came to Brzesc where he published a Yiddish weekly which appeared under various titles until 1930. He emigrated to Canada in 1930. He was on staff of the Keneder Adler for the rest of his life.
M. Ginzburg was a productive journalist who wrote essays for over twenty Yiddish journals and newspapers. Ginzburg passed away on February 25, 1966.
