- Notes
- Note taped to back of photo reads, "1105. A pattern of loneliness. There's nothing but loneliness and waiting when there's nothing to do, no one to talk to. Our community program for the aged turns this gloomy picture into a busy scene of bustling activity and lively talk. It helps them enjoy their retirement, gain new interests, new friends and enabels them to do the things they never had time to do before. Care of the aged is one of the many local services supported by our (name of local welfare fund), which also raises funds for national and overseas Jewish needs. N.Y. Federation photo by Ike Vern"
