- History / Biographical
- The National Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation was founded in Montreal in 1951. It was sponsored by various Jewish community organizations (such as B'nai Brith and the Canadian Jewish Congress), to act as a central Jewish fundraising unit for Canada. It sponsored campaigns on behalf of UIA and UJRA through its fundraising committee to help the State of Israel economically during the critical early years of its existence.
