- 2 pages, double-sided. Folded 3 times horizontally. Document is a handwritten letter from Levinia (?) Klaper in Melbourne, Austrialia, to her fiancé Harry, in Poland. She writes that she will be happy to see him next year and marry him. Narrative: The letter was found hidden in the wooden beams of the roof of a Jewish home in Poland. An uncle of the donor, Elizabeth Cicigoi, purchased the house after the war and discovered it. It had been hidden with a photograph, a transit pass, and two Jewish prayer books. Elizabeth's mother was Jewish; she was murdered during the Holocaust.
