Notes
White border. Double-sided rectangular card with color photograph on the recto and black text on the verso. Image shows five boys in brown Hitler Youth uniforms sitting on a bench, turned towards the camera, leaning over a railing. They wear swastika armbands on their right side. They are smiling and one of the boys is showing a piece of paper to the camera. Behind them are at least ten men in Nazi uniform. Most of the men are looking to the right, out of the camera's range, but one man is standing behind the boys, also smiling at the camera. Narrative: The cigarette cards were packaged inside of Salem cigarette packs and were used as NSDAP propaganda in the 1930s. They were meant to be collected and inserted into an accompanying album.
