Notes: 1 page, double-sided. Folded 3 times horizontally and twice vertically. Printed on letterhead of the Town Clerk, the Hague. Document dated February 1, 1949 attests that Joseph Rubin Hasfeld was interned in Westerbork on December 31, 1942; his wife, Gendla Ajdla Malis was interned there on January 12, 1943; their son Mozes Jakob Hasfeld, who married Ida Wilk on November 12, 1941, was sent to Westerbork with her on December 31, 1942; and their daughter Ruchla Hasfeld was deported to France on Jnauary 9, 1942. Compensation for postage fees are requested from the addressee, Mrs. Karasin-Hasfeld, living in Brussels. Narrative: Ruchla Hasfeld was the mother of the donor, Beatrice Barzilai (Karasin). She was born on May 18, 1910 in Warsaw, Poland. She survived the war with her husband and Beatrice, who was born in France in 1941. Her parents, Joseph and Gendla, and her brother Mozes Jacob and his wife Ida were all deported from Westerbork to either Sobibór or Auschwitz, where they were murdered.
