On recto, large '5' printed in orange in centre within large oval; to right, sphere with bubbled effect on edges containing text stating that this currency was issued by the Czechoslovak state, as well as the type of currency and the date of issue. On left, portrait of Jan Amos Komenský. '5' in dark blue circles printed at each corner. On verso, Czechoslovak coat of arms printed in orange in centre; sideways '5' on either side within spheres with bubbled effect on edges. '5' in dark blue circles printed at each corner.
