1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto in handwriting of Mancika Mandula Weinberger. Verso in handwriting of Weinberger family, first Mancika who dated at the end of her text "III.9". Following is the handwriting of Kalman Weinberger, then Ilona, Pali and Kalman again. At right in Mancika's handwriting is addressed to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz." in Maroshéviz, Maros-Torda county. At top right in blue ink is the signature of Captain Soós. Card contains correspondence between the Weinberger family and Gustav Weinberger, contains family updates and well-wishes. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The letter is in the handwriting of the Weinberger family addressed to Gustav. Kalman (1880-1944), Mancika (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger -- Pal (1908-1945) and Ilona Weinberger (1881-1944). All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944 and Pal was shot at the end of the war when Buchenwald camp was liberated. The correspondence was under supervision by Captain Soós. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family.
