1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto in handwriting of Mancika Mandula Weinberger, signed "Manci" and dated at bottom left "III.16". At bottom, three lines of handwriting of Ilona Weinberger. Verso, at top left in blue ink is the signature of Captain Soós. Sender at bottom left in Mancika's handwriting reads "Weinberger Gustavi / Miskolc Görgey Arthur ut. 10". At right, addressed to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz." in Maroshéviz, Maros-Torda county. Card contains correspondence between the Weinberger family and Gustav Weinberger, contains family updates and well-wishes. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The letter is in the handwriting of Mancika Mandula Weinberger (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger, and Ilona Weinberger (1881-1944). Both Mancika and Ilona were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The correspondence was under supervision by Sergeant Bigany. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family.
