- 1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto addressed to Gustav Weinberger, in handwriting of Ilona Weinberger and at bottom, Kalman Weinberger. Dated "944.III/16" at top left. Verso, between handdrawn lines and in block capital letters is the handwriting of Evike Weinberger. Kalman's handwriting continues in between the spaces of Evike's writing. One line written by Pali Weinberger, and below continues in Kalman's hand. At right is addressed in Kalman's hand to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz." in Maroshéviz, Maros-Torda county. Top right, signature of Captain Soós. Card contains correspondence between the Weinberger family and Gustav Weinberger, contains family updates and well-wishes. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The letter is in the handwriting of the Weinberger family addressed to Gustav. Kalman (1880-1944), Ilona (1881-1944) and Evike Weinberger (1938-1944). All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. The correspondence was under supervision by Captain Soós. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family.
