1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto, in handwriting of Mancika Mandula Weinberger, continues onto top of verso. Signed "Manci" and dated "IV/22". Below, handwriting of Ilona Weinberger. At bottom, handwriting of Kalman Weinberger. At right, addressed to "Weinberger Gustav / 108/101 msz. / Bihar / Biharmegye". At top right, signature of Captain Soós. Card contains correspondence between Weinberger family and Gustav Weinberger, contains well-wishes and updates on the family's impending forced relocation from Vaja. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The card is in the handwriting of Kalman (1880-1944), Ilona (1881-1944) and Mancika Mandula Weinberger (1910-1944) -- the first wife of Gustav Weinberger. All but Gustav were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family. Montreal: McGill-Queen's University Press, 1996. Print.
