Beige pre-printed postcard handwritten in blue ink. One side is inscribed with the address of the receiver (Mrs Olga Schwarz in Zagreb) and postal ink stamps in black and green ink while the other side contains a short message and a date written in blue ink and a green stam from officials. Narrative: This postcard was sent by Ivan V. Schwarz to his sister-in-law and brother while he was interned at the Jasenovac concentration camp. "Dragan", whom Ivan is referring to in this letter is his nephew, Emile Svarc, the donor of this item. Ivan Schwarz was interned in the camp from August 31, 1941 to April 22, 1945 when the camp was liquidated and all the remaining prisoners, including Ivan, were killed. Ivan Schwarz was born in 1898 and was originally from Koprivnica.
