Hertz, Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the British Empire, to the President and Council at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim, thanking them for their "defence of the Sabbath against revolutionary changes in the Calendar that would have imperilled religious life." The letter also mentions that Dr. Hertz has sent the Congregation a copy of his book "The Battle for the Sabbath at Geneva."
