On the back is a stamp from the Austrian-Hungarian Empire with a portrait of Kaiser Franz Joseph, worth 5 Heller. Dr. Ignaz Zollschan was a Jewish anthropologist who discussed ideas of the Jews as a race. He believed that the Jews were a "mixed race" of people whose racial ancestry came from the Semitic and Hittite peoples of the ancient Near East. Narrative: This postcard was written by Bernhard Kissman (Donor's father) to his fiancee Fritzi Winter (Donor's mother) who lived at that time with her parents in Tescheutz, Bukowina. They got married in July 1913. Bernhard Kissman worked at various places in forestry. Postcards between them were written daily, often a letter followed.
