- 1 page, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto, in handwriting of Mór Mandula, signed "Apuka" and dated "1944 III/9". The Hebrew acronym "ad meo shono" [may you live to be 100] written beside greeting and has been underlined in blue by Sergeant Birgany. Verso contains handwriting of Laci Mandula. At right, addressed to "Weinberger Gustav / Maroshéviz / 108/101 msz." in Maros-Torda county. Sender's address at left reads "Miskolc". At top right, signature of Sergeant Bigany. Card contains correspondence between the Mandula family and Gustav Weinberger, contains family updates and well-wishes. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. The letter is in the handwriting of Mór and Laci Mandula addressed to Gustav Weinberger. The correspondence was under supervision by Sergeant Birgany. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family. Montreal: McGill-Queen's University Press, 1996. Print.
