Narrative: The ghetto-labor camp of Terezin (Theresienstadt), operational from November 1941 to May 1945, had its own currency. German currency was confiscated upon arrival. Every Reichsmark was exchanged for 10 Theresienstadt Krone.1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 krone were in circulation in the camps to keep the illusion of a ''normal life'' since the Jewish money couldn't buy goods.
