History / Biographical
Born in London, England, in 1908, Dr. John Kershman was a neurosurgeon. He worked as the executive assistant to Dr. Wilder Penfield and was assistant professsor of neurology at McGill University; former chairman of the Medical Board and chief of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal. He was married to Esther Goldstein Muhlstock, who worked as a teacher and has written numerous stories in Yiddish and English. He died in 1951 in Montreal.
