- 1 postcard, double-sided horizontal paper. Recto, addressed to [translated from Hungarian]: "My beloved Children!" Handwriting of Ilona Schwarcz Weinberger. Verso of card is addressed in Mancika's hand to "Weinberger Gustav" in Toronya. Narrative: Donor is Elaine Kalman Naves, daughter of Gustav and Anikó Weinberger. Mancika Weinberger (born 1910; died 1944) was the first wife of Gustav Weinberger. Ilona Schwarcz Weinberger (1881-1944) was Gustav's mother. Both Mancika and Ilona were killed in Auschwitz in 1944. This collection of correspondence was used as part of the research for the following book: Kalman Naves, Elaine. Journey to Vaja: Reconstructing the World of a Hungarian-Jewish Family. Montreal: McGill-Queen's University Press, 1996. Print.
