History / Biographical
Born in 1862, Mr. Brainin was a Zionist leader, biographer, critic, journalist and Hebraist. He lived in Montreal 1912-1916 where he edited the Keneder Adler and Der Veg. One of the founders of Canadian Jewish Congress and Jewish Public Library in Montreal. He died in 1939.
