- OBITUARIES: Evening Times Globe, March 14, 1941 Deaths Green – At the Saint John General Hospital, on March 14, 1941, Phillip Green, 8 St. paul Street, leaving to mourn his wife, one daughter and three sons. Funeral today (Friday) from Chamberlain’s Funeral Parlous, at 4:00 p.m. Interment in the Hebrew lot in Fernhill Cemetery. The Evening Times Globe Friday, March 14, 1941, page 11 Phillip Green The funeral of Phillip Green, 8 St. Paul Street, whose death occurred at an early hour this morning at the General Hospital, will be held this afternoon at 4 o’clock from Chanberlain’s Funeral Home, 145 King Street East. Services will be conducted by Rabbi M. Beshkin and Rev. A.Babb and interment will be made in the Hebrew plot at Fernhill Cemetery. Mr. Green who was a son of the late Asa and Rachel Green, formerly of Poland, was born in Poland but had resided in this city for 37 years. He had been ill two months. Surviving, besides his wife, are one daughter, Miss Mildred Green, at home, and three brothers, Maurice, Kitchener, Ont.; Samuel, New York; and Robert, at home.
