The Evening Times Globe Wednesday, October 30, 1957, pp. 17 and 28 Harry C. Green Dies of Seizure Stricken by a seizure at his home, Harry Costello Green, manager and owner of Green's Ltd., head of King Street, died on Tuesday afternoon at the General Hospital. Prior to its present site at the Head of King Street, the store at different times was located on Charlotte Street, Prince William Street and in the City Market. Mr. Green had been ill at his home, 24 Horsfield Street, for the last week recovering from an attack of flu family members said. [There should be a couple of corrections made to this obituary - Harry was actually a member of the third generation of Greens in Saint John and the Greens actually arrived one year after the Hart family who are considered to be the founders of the community.] Gravestone reference code(s): JM 998.61.494. Memorial plaque in synagogue: Samuel Meltzer - A5.
