hardcover binding, with brown fabric tape covering the spine and part of the cardboard cover; a layer of black, faux leather finishing is glued on top of the cover, with the corners cut off exposing the original brown cardboard surface; 3 additional small pieces of paper have been glued onto the front cover; the top 2 pieces of paper show text in Hebrew ? and/or Yiddish ? (needs verification) and the bottom piece has been written in English. The original use of the book was a sales book, and the pages are beige and have red horizontal and vertical lines throughout; the spine is held together with string. Additional pieces of paper have been glued onto the inside covers and pages; scraps of newspaper (text and photos) have been glued into each page; dates have been written in pencil on each article. 2 additional paper and string bound booklets were tucked at the end of the scrapbook; they are not attached to the rest of the book; these also contain newspaper articles. Narrative: book of newspaper clippings from apparently Kanader Adler concerning fate of Jews in Europe as well as news of deaths of Jewish Canadian servicemen

40 pages. Housed in a blue binder, with a clear sleeve on the front cover: inserted inside is a white title page with the title printed in the middle. Pages are loose-leaf, inserted into clear plastic sleeves. Contains an introduction and a copy, and translation, of the magazine 'Hlas P?dy Q306', issues 1-3. Narrative: The magazine was conceived by children under 12 years of age, that was started in Janary 1944, with only 3 issues appearing. The children who developed the magazine lived with their mothers in the crowded attic Q306. The editor-in-chief was Mariana Kornova, b. 1931-06-18. She signed the first edition. She was murdered in Auschwitz 1944-10-06. (Text taken pg. 5 of this book).

326 pages, softcover. The cover features the frightened face of man. The top of his head is a green ship underneath a stormy blue sky. The back has a picture of the author on t.l., a short biography and an excerpt from the book. Narrative: The author is Romanian and the book is about the sinking of the MV Struma, a ship that was carring 781 Romanian Jewish refugees trying to escape to Palestine. There was only one survivor, David Stoliar. The author, Michel Solomon, served in North Africa in the British Army during the war.
