- Trooper Joseph Fine of Montreal, Quebec, died overseas of natural causes on December 4, 1945, according to an official report. He was buried in the Holten Canadian Military Cemetery, Belgium. He enlisted on July 4, 1941, and proceeded overseas the same year. A brother, Frank, also served in the Canadian Army.
