- Flight Sergeant Isador Yudell of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was officially reported missing after air operations overseas on January 6, 1943, and later presumed dead for official purposes. Flight Sergeant Yudell enlisted on August 1, 1940, and went overseas early in 1942. He was pilot of a Wellington bomber and had been stationed in the Middle East for two months before he was listed missing after an operational flight from Malta. Flight Sergeant Yudell received the 1939-45 Star, the Africa Star & bar, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, and the War Medal 1939-45. He was posthumously awarded R.C.A.F. Operational Wings on June 6, 1946, in recognition of gallant service in action against the enemy.
