- OBITUARIES: Telegraph Journal, September 18, 1993 Cohen – At the Saint John Regional Hospital, on September 17, 1993, Israel H. Cohen of Brentwood Towers, husbnad of Teresa (McCluskey) Cohen. Mr. Cohen was born in Saint John, a son of Myer and Bessie (Levine) Cohen. Mr. Cohen was a grocer, and owned and operated the Hillside Grocery on Somerset Street for many years, and later a grocery store in Sussex. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Warren Cohen and his wife Miriam, of Fredericton, Morton Cohen of Toronto and Robert Cohen of Saint John, one brother, Edgar Cohen and his wife Erminie of Saint John, one sister, Jennie Cohen and her husband Benjamin of Saint John, three grandchildren, Robert, Maurice and Mark Cohen, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home (Hillsley), 91 Leinster Street, from where the funeral will be held on Sunday with service at 2 p.m. Interment in Shaarei Zedek Cemetery.
