- Certificate of occupation for Neumann, issued in Hlohevec. Blue booklet with several pages, inluding a fold out letter-size page after the front cover. Inside cover contains a black and white photograph. Fold out page contains a document on light green paper which reads "Výu?ný List" on the top, followed by a paragraph of text both printed and handwritten. Document bares two signatures at the bottom and is dated, 1934. Fiscal stamp at the top left, red with a value of 1 koruna. First page of the work permit is a form filled out in handwriting. There are several pages of printed text followed by a page with a form, which has been filled out by hand in black ink. The rest off the booklet contains pages of blank forms. Narrative: Donor is the wife of Viktor Matus (born Victor Neumann), who survived the war in hiding and came to Montreal in 1949. From Hlohovec, Czechoslovakia. Two older brothers André and Otto were killed in January 1945 uprising. Parents were deported and killed in Auschwitz. Brother Marcel Neumann survived.
