- Private Muni Erlick of Montreal, Quebec, was officially reported killed in action in France on August 20, 1944. Enlisting in the army in November 1942, Private Erlick went overseas in March 1944. He had seen service in Spain with the Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion during that country’s civil war.
