- Notes
- Flying Officer Tim Pervin of Montreal, Quebec, was reported killed in action overseas. He was the sole occupant of a plane hit by anti-aircraft fire over Eindoven on September 22, 1944, during a rocket projectile and cannon attack on enemy objectives. Flying Officer Pervin joined the Royal Montreal Regiment early in 1940 and transferred to the R.C.A.F. in 1941. He went through his elementary training at Windsor Mills, Quebec, and was later stationed at Victoriaville. He received his wings at St. Hubert on April 8, 1942, and his commission in October 1943. At the end of the same year he went overseas, where he was attached to the No. 181 Typhoon Squadron. There is a Star of David on his gravestone. (See Veterans Affairs Canada web site)
